AMCO EXPANDS ON THEIR AIR FREIGHT SERVICES WITH IATA ACCREDITATION
AMCO BECOMES AN OFFICIAL IATA CARGO AGENT
AMCO continues to strengthen its position in the international logistics sector achieving IATA accreditation and becoming an official IATA Cargo Agent.
IATA (International Air Transport Association) was founded 1945 and today represents around 290 airlines from all over the globe, who are collectively responsible for approximately 82% of total air traffic. As an IATA Cargo Agent, AMCO are part of a reliably certified network of Cargo Agents, recognised for their financial and professional competencies.
The IATA accreditation is a seal of approval recognised worldwide and demonstrates AMCO’s commitment to continually improve customer service and choice. The accreditation has allowed them to expand on their existing air freight offerings to now include dangerous goods, specials, express, premium, and consolidated freight as well as booking directly with airlines which enables better control of the freight.
Access to Cargo Space
The benefits to customers are better rates and access to cargo space and availability, access to IATA’s Cargo Account Settlement System (CASS); an efficient interface for invoicing and payment, and unique identification throughout the global cargo industry with the “IATA Numeric Code”.
A Few Words from Don Mucci:
Don Mucci, AMCO’s Managing Director said. “Being an IATA Cargo Agent allows us to add more value and stability to our supply chain. It further enhances our competitive global proposition. We can now operate full circle with air freight from storage and pick up, to flight and onward transport whilst managing all the processes and customs requirements in between.
He continues. “Since the pandemic, customers look for faster, cheaper and overall more cost-effective alternatives when it comes to transporting their freight. Being IATA accredited means we can offer our customers competitively priced rates with more volume capacity and a higher availability on freight times, destinations and trade lane network options.”
A NATURAL PROGRESSION:
AMCO are very proud to have been accredited by the International Air Transport Association and felt it was a natural progression to help further leverage its position in the market, enhancing its already established WCA Time Critical position.
COMMITMENT TO INVESTMENT
AMCO is committed to continually investing in its people and processes, whilst abiding by legal requirements to better serve the international community. AMCO and customers alike will benefit from better freight rates and increased profit margins with its IATA accreditation.
