Amco Group are delighted to announce that they have secured a new packaging supply contract with another major 1st Tier automotive supplier. This follows a recent packaging assembly contract agreed between Amco and Denso Group.
The packaging supply contract came after an initial enquiry from Futaba Industrial UK (FIUK) for metal Gitterbox mesh stillages with a half drop front. These are industry standard rigid and stacking stillages used in 1st tier manufacturing. These Gitterboxes were required for an initial 3 month period for production trial products manufactured by FIUK for Toyota.
Amco Group were able to supply FIUK with the required Gitterboxes immediately to meet their production demand, and responded to the initial enquiry with delivery on a rental agreement of over 250 of these large metal fabricated stillages in just three days.
The agreement between these two Automotive focused businesses demonstrates Amco’s capability to not only respond immediately to customer demands but also to add value by providing packaging solutions that don’t involve purchasing the packaging with the benefit of immediate response and no CAPEX requirement.
FIUK is a Japanese automotive manufacturer based in Dove Valley Business Park in Foston, Derbyshire. They are part of the $1 Billion Futaba Industrial Co. Ltd manufacturing company which was formed in 1945, with its global headquarters in Okazaki, Japan
FIUK are a leading Just in Time (JIT) sequenced supplier in the automotive welding industry, manufacturing high quality, welded sub-assemblies for two vehicle platforms.
Paul Andrews Amco Group’s CEO says. ‘Being able to respond to the initial requirement and deliver to Futaba on a rental not CAPEX agreement just three days, is a clear demonstration that our Amco Group packaging division can react immediately to customer needs and provide flexible packaging solutions and financial agreements that can exceed customer expectation.’
