AMCO Services International are delighted to announce a formal partnership with CK Quality, a Midlands based specialist in supply chain quality inspection, sorting, quality containment & rework.
The announcement of the formalisation of this partnership with CK Quality comes after three years of successfully working together with Amco’s 1st tier and 2nd tier Automotive customers. CK Quality have been providing it’s inspection and containment services the manufacturing industry for over 15 years and operate from centralised headquarters in Coventry in close proximity to AMCO’s 110,000 sq. ft bonded warehouse facility Amco Park and their Redditch Regional Distribution Centre.
Global manufacturers, 1st and 2nd tier suppliers to Automotive and Aerospace OEMs often dictate the need for quality inspection of components, parts, sub-assemblies, electrical assemblies and other parts or material before delivery to the manufacturing plant assembly line or even trackside.
Some components and assemblies require visual and possibly functional inspection before delivery to the OEM and this can often involve the application of jigs, testing equipment or specialist measurement devices.
The purpose of this quality inspection is to establish, evaluate and implement procedures for eliminating non-conforming parts from the supply chain, whilst ensuring compliance with all appropriate standards. Quality inspections are best carried out before scheduled deliveries into OEMs and this newly formalised partnership between Amco and CK Quality will enable pre-delivery inspection and containment as well as reactive services should a component or assembly fail quality and fit for function deviations at the assembly point within the OEM.
Séan Trainor Amco’s Business Development Director says ‘It is Amco’s objective to provide optimised logistics for OEM production by becoming a single-source provider for quality support services as well as JIT and JIS logistics services. Delivery of quality inspected and assured components and assemblies can only enhance manufacturing efficiencies, reduce downtime and improve finished product quality. Formalising and recognising our partnership with CK Quality will only continue to strengthen our proposition as a Warehousing and Logistics Solutions Provider, offering customers a logistics partnership with real value added services.’
Séan continues. ’Our partnership means CK will offer Amco’s warehouse and logistics solutions to their customers and this will help both businesses grow and develop a wider customer base across differing industries. In addition to reactive pre-planned quality inspection services CK Quality are also servicing a number of our joint customers with contract engineering resource to support areas such as New Product Introduction, Resident Engineering and Quality Improvement Activities.’
Wes Ball, Strategy & Business Development Director for CK Quality added ‘We understand the constant pressure and demands that are progressively placed on modern day manufacturers, and we also realise the strain on resource which in turn can cause numerous internal difficulties. With this in mind we offer professional cost-effective solutions and unparalleled levels of service when it comes to quality and operational support solutions. Our team of engineers and inspectors are highly skilled and take responsibility for the delivery of quality inspection services. It is our belief that long term partnership is built around the value our service can add through execution of Best Business Practice Inspection Expert Standards and it is this principle that underpins our relationship with AMCO.
