Some of the component and assembly types listed above need optical, visual and potentially functional checks and inspection before delivery. This type of inspection can necessitate the application of test rigs, test equipment and possibly specialist testing and measuring equipment.

The reason for these quality inspections is to evaluate, establish and implement processes and measures for eradicating non-conforming components and parts from the supply chain, whilst ensuring compliance with all appropriate standards. Quality inspections are best carried out before scheduled deliveries into OEMs and the partnership between Amco and CK Quality enables pre-delivery inspection and containment, as well as reactive services, should a component or assembly fail quality and fit for function deviations at the assembly point within the OEM.

As partners to Amco, CK can also offer fast response containment and inspection either at the OEM or manufacturers site, 1st or 2nd tier facilities or customer location. The CK Quality engineers can conduct various testing methodologies and processes to cleanse the supply chain and return production efficiently and in the shortest time available.

Amco and CK have been working together for over 3 years, with CK Quality providing its inspection and containment services to Amco’s 1st tier and 2nd tier Automotive customers.

1st and 2nd tier suppliers, Global manufacturers, Aerospace, Defence and Automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) can dictate a requirement for pre-delivery quality inspection (PDI) of parts, components, electrical and sub-assemblies and other materials. This requirement is usually required prior to delivery to the manufacturing facility.
